Dr. Jared Wright is originally from Southeast Texas, but he and his family are proud to now call Bulverde home. He developed an enthusiasm for dentistry at a young age after being exposed to it through an uncle who is also a dentist.
Dr. Wright received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. Dr. Wright is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the River District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has made continuing education a priority in his professional career, focusing on courses in endodontics and oral surgery. During a two-year mission in Puerto Rico, Dr. Wright became fluent in Spanish, and this skill is particularly beneficial in the care of patients whose first language is Spanish.
Dr. Wright is a compassionate dentist devoted to creating a positive experience for each of his patients. Dr. Wright and his wife Melanie have five beautiful children. When Dr. Wright is not in the office, you will find him supporting the many activities in which his kids are involved. He enjoys the outdoors and early morning runs. His goal with Smithson Valley Family Dentistry is to make every patient’s comfort his #1 priority, providing the highest-quality customer service and dental care in a relaxed environment.
Wendy was born and raised in Southeast Texas. She met her would be husband all the way back in the first grade but decided not to get married till they were…a little older. She attended Lamar University School of Dental Hygiene and graduated in 1995 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. After 24 years of dental hygiene her main goal is to educate patients so that they understand how they can have the healthiest smile possible. She believes that patient comfort and good conversation come in as a close second to ensure an overall enjoyable dental experience. Now married for 24 years to her best friend, Keith, she and her husband have 2 wonderful children, 1 precious grandchild and another one on the way!! In her free time she loves spending time with family, cooking (she’s a foodie), traveling and enjoying the outdoors.
